New Brady BMP™51 and 53 label makers enable easy, quick and instant label printing

Bluetooth® technology in new printers allows customers to create and print labels with smartphones

Zele, 14 December 2011 – Brady Corporation, supplier of complete solutions that identify and protect premises, products and people, launches two new mobile label printers. The BMP51 label maker and the peripheral BMP53 printer are quick and easy to use. Eyecatcher is the integrated Bluetooth connection that enables communication with Brady Mobile, the new free of charge mobile application that allows field workers to design, edit and print labels from their smartphone.

Brady introduces a new mobile label maker that comes in two versions: the BMP51 with a clear screen and a QWERTY keyboard can be used as a stand alone or can be connected to a PC. The second version is the peripheral BMP53 without keyboard. The BMP51 and 53 label makers offer a number of new features to help create labels more efficiently. One of the most innovating features is the easy-to-load cartridges, which contain both the label material and ribbon.

In addition to the new cartridge design, the label makers also offer a durable built-in cutter, high speed print (25,4 mm per second) and USB PC connectivity for advanced label design with Brady’s LabelMark™ Software. The printer also has a number of power supply options; depending on the preference, the printer can run on AA batteries, AC power supply, or a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Both printers feature a built-in Brady Network Card with Bluetooth® technology, and an optional Wi-Fi card, for convenient on-the-job label printing. All these characteristics make it an easy to use printing device for electrical and datacom installations, laboratory identification and facility and safety labeling.

At the same time, Brady launches Brady Mobile, a free of charge application for Android phones that allows field workers to create, edit and print labels on the spot. With Brady Mobile, an Android smartphone can be used to design labels from scratch, edit existing labels and create and edit label templates. It contains a wide variety of built-in bar coding, symbols and pictograms, designed for electrical or datacom labels.

“The BMP 51 and 53 complete our mobile printer range. They are the first printers equipped with a Bluetooth connection, so they are perfectly fit to function with our newly launched mobile application for Android. This allows field workers to easily adapt and print labels “on-the-go”, without the need for a laptop for advanced label designing or adapting”, says Gino Van der Ven, at Brady Corporation.
